Security

Security is a primary concern for the Yaletown BIA in order to keep Yaletown a safe and enjoyable place to work and visit. Through partnerships with the Vancouver Police Department, ICBC Autowatch, residential strata councils and the Yaletown BIA’s private security provider, Yaletown remains safe for for Yaletown property owners, businesses and customers.
The Ambasssador Program
Since its launch in 2006, the Yaletown BIA provides, on average, 5,000 hours per year of street patrol via the Ambassador Program. Whether it’s offering a ‘safe walk’ for late night staff, or assisting visitors, our patrollers provide a consistent presence and professional services.
The VPD Commercial Crime Quarterly
In June 2010, the Vancouver Police Department began publishing the Commercial Crime Quarterly. It offers useful information on keeping your business and employees safe.
