The Top 5 finalists in 10 different award categories have now been selected for the 12th Annual Small Business BC Awards, and 15 very special companies are from Vancouver.
Yaletown BIA spoke with 6S Marketing co-founder Chris Breikss about being recognized as one of British Columbia’s Best Employers for the 6th consecutive year.
“6S Marketing has been Yaletown based since 2000”, says Chris Breikss. “We believe in community involvement and have sponsored many Yaletown BIA initiatives such as events and the history boards located on the street poles along Mainland Street and Hamilton Street. Some events that 6S Marketing has supported include Lumiere Yaletown, the Neighbourhood Groupon Week for Mothers’ Day, Illuminate Yaletown, the Farmers’ Market, and CandyTown. But not only that, founder John Blown has been dedicating his time to North Shore Rescue for more than a year and staff organize and plan their own events through our “Culture Committee”.
The Small Business BC Awards is a province-wide competition where British Columbia’s entrepreneurs and small business owners compete to have their company named one of BC’s best businesses.
This year was the biggest year yet for the competition with over 460 nominations received from 70 communities across the province, including 168 nominations from Vancouver.
