FEBRUARY
Illuminate
Enjoy the FREE, entertainment-filled outdoor Light Art Exhibition hosted in Yaletown, showcasing contemporary and engaging technology from industry leading light artists and designers who play with advanced video and lighting technology.
APRIL
Sun Run
The Vancouver Sun Run is Canada’s largest 10k road race and the 3rd largest timed 10k race in the world. The Vancouver Sun Run has truly become one of Vancouver’s traditional rites of spring.
MAY
Engine 374 Anniversary Celebration
Celebrate CPR Engine 374: the engine that made history by pulling the first trans-continental passenger train into Vancouver. During the celebration, Engine 374 makes her annual trip out onto the Roundhouse Turntable. Watch her steam up and hear the whistle blow! Come celebrate with free birthday cake and other activities.
BMO Marathon
The BMO Vancouver Marathon is featuring a 42.2KM course plus a Kids Run, 8KM run, Marathon Relay, and Half Marathon. Just like in previous years the half marathon will be coming through Yaletown.
JUNE
Yaletown Community BBQ
Yaletown invites locals to a free outdoor BBQ at the Roundhouse Community Centre Turntable Plaza. It’s a free all-ages event that features plenty of family-friendly fun.
Let’s Hear it for Yaletown
Enjoy live music daily during lunchtime and after work at Bill Curtis Square (Canadaline station) on Mainland and Davie Street.
Vancouver International Jazz Festival
The Vancouver International Jazz Festival features live music on four stages at David Lam Park and the Roundhouse Community Centre. The weekend features over 30 performances and hundreds of musicians from all over the world.
AUGUST
Roundhouse Fun Fair
Returning to David Lam Park
Celebrate the end of summer at David Lam Park with a BBQ (by donation), live music, bouncy castles, carnival games, sports activities, arts and crafts and more!
Pet-A-Palooza
Pet-A-Palooza is the West Coast’s largest outdoor pet festival. This free and pet friendly festival is the most fun you’ll have with your pet all summer. Bring your pet to sample treats, food, accessories, toys, and get hooked up with loads of free swag!
SEPTEMBER
Westward
Taking place at various venues across the city, the third-annual festival will take over downtown Vancouver from September 12 to 15 and feature local acts, as well as renowned international artists.
OCTOBER
Taste of Yaletown
Experience Vancouver’s premiere dining event featuring award-winning chefs and tasty menus.
Halloween in Yaletown
Come dressed as your favourite character and join us while we trick or treat and play in the business district. All ages welcome.
NOVEMBER
CandyTown
Returning to Mainland Street
Vancouver’s only free outdoor winter festival. Features a sleigh-full of entertainment, ice sculpting, horse-drawn carriage rides, and the “All I Want for Christmas” gift market.
