Valentine’s Day is upon us. At Yaletown we have special events and fun things lined up whether you’re single, in a relationship, or it’s complicated!
1. Stroll around Yaletown.
Update: Cancelled due to weather conditions. Catch our LOVE letters at Art Works Gallery’s opening night of LOVE instead.
On February 14 we’re serenading you and showing our LOVE at Bill Curtis Square. Bring your sweetheart, your mom, your best friend, and even your dog from 5 pm to 8 pm. Oh, and don’t forget your camera!
2. Get cultured.
On February 12, Art Works Gallery is hosting the opening night of Love: Artwork created by Deryk Houston and inspired by the Beatles.
Tickets are $50 per person and 100% of the proceeds from the ticket, raffle & auction items as well as, partial proceeds of the painting in the “Love” exhibition will be donated to Woodwynn Farms, Sole Foods, & Save-on-Meats token program. Buy tickets here.
3. Relax with a stress-relieving massage.
Spoil your loved one with a trip to the spa and enjoy a relaxing massage. Czechrose Natural Therapy has a promotion for a one hour couples massage valid on Valentine’s Weekend only. Best of all, they’ll even serve you a glass of champagne, chocolate & strawberries after your massage!
4. Indulge in a chocolate tasting class.
Who doesn’t love chocolate? Xoxolat (pronounced sho-sho-la) regularly holds Chocolate 101 tasting classes. Xoxolat specializes in single origin chocolates and fun and unique chocolate bars like Cardamom Crème Brulée (our fave!). Chocolate tasting classes are $25 per person.
5. Have a romantic dinner and stay overnight in Yaletown.
Dine at one of Yaletown’s fine dining establishments and stay the night at Opus Hotel. The hotel was awarded Forbes Four-Star Boutique Hotel for 3 straight years in a row!
Pro tip: Receive a $125 AMEX gift card for your first night booked with Opus Hotel, and a $50 AMEX gift card for additional nights! Read about the promo here.
6. Show your love with flowers.
We don’t know many women who wouldn’t be happy to receive flowers on Valentine’s Day. They’re a favourite for a reason. We recommend a classic rose bouquet from Divine Vines to show her you’re crazy about her!
7. Go out and meet new people.
Want to sweat it out in a club? Bar None Saturday presents Roses and Rosé hosted by CUPID + DJ Marvel.
However if you are looking for something more low key, Zend Conscious Lounge has a 3-day Apothecary series which culminates with a local artisans’ showcase. You’ll get to shop and meet Zend’s favourite plant-based producers!
