Yaletown Canadaline

Skytrain or Bus

Translink operates Metro Vancouver’s transportation network. To access Yaletown, you can either take:

  • Canada Line skytrain -> exit at Yaletown Roundhouse Station
  • Millennium Line skytrain -> exit at Stadium – Chinatown Station
  • Expo Line skytrain -> exit at Stadium – Chinatown Station
  • Bus Service -> take 6 Downtown / Davie or C23 Beach / Main Street Station

Adult fares for transit are: $2.75 for a one-zone single fare. Buses require exact change; however Skytrain/Canada Line stations have Compass vending machines that accept coins, bills, debit/credit cards.
YVR airport is in Zone 2, and the fare price may cost more. Read more on Translink fares.


ct_compass_adultNot carrying change? To save some money on transit fare and to avoid having to carry exact amount of coins, you can purchase a Compass card.

Simply tap in when you start your journey and tap out when exiting or transferring. Remember, buses are tap in only, so there’s no need to tap out when exiting. When you tap out, the system calculates the fare zones you’ve travelled and charges you the correct fare.

Taxi

All taxis are fully licensed and all drivers complete a training course in safe driving, customer service and helping people with special needs. If you are coming from the airport the approximate fare to Yaletown is between $33 – $36. If you are going somewhere else you can also use Taxi Fare Finder to figure out how much your trip will cost.

Getting a taxi in Yaletown is easy. There is a taxi stand outside the Opus Hotel and the Yaletown Roundhouse Canadaline Station. If you don’t see a taxi at the stand you can call one of the following taxi companies:


Boat or Water Ferry

A fun and unique option to get to Yaletown is via the False Creek or AquaBus Ferries, which runs seven days a week. A quick 10 minute ferry ride will take you from Granville Island, Science World and several other docks to Yaletown.

The two stops are at Quayside Marina and David Lam Park along Vancouver’s beautiful Seawall. Adult fares range from $3.25 – $5.50 one way.  Child/Senior fares range from $1.25 – $2.50 one way.

Bicycle

There is a network of bike lanes in Vancouver that will allow you to ride your bike with ease all year round. If you would like to go the scenic route, start at Stanley Park and continue to ride your bike along Vancouver’s Seawall to Yaletown. Glass residential towers or BC Place will welcome you to Yaletown once you get off the Seawall.

Vancouver Bike Share

You can rent a bike at Reckless: Davie St or sign up for an account with Mobi by Shaw Go – Vancouver’s Bike Sharing service.
