Why did you start your business in Yaletown?
I lived right in the heart of Yaletown for 10 years and I love the area. There are amazing restaurants and bars, salons and fitness studios and women’s boutiques. The one thing that was lacking was a great men’s boutique for clothing and accessories that catered only to men.
What is your favourite part of your job?
My absolute favourite part of the job is dressing guys in our clothing and seeing the look on their faces when they look in the mirror and see how incredible they look.
Complete the following sentence:
“What really makes us unique is…”
We are an experience, not just a clothing store. The guys can come hang out in our lounge, have a beverage, and shop for clothing that is classic, fit to form and ready to wear.
What would you tell someone who is thinking about opening their own business?
I was a lawyer for 12 years before this and I hated it. So my advise to anyone opening a new business or changing careers is to do something you love because spending that many hours doing something you don’t like is a waste of precious time.
