Why did you start your business in Yaletown?
I started my business in Yaletown because I loved the vibe of Yaletown and how it mixed modern concepts with it’s industrial roots. And that’s the sort of feel I believe our pastry shop is with a deep sense of building on classic desserts and traditional recipes but giving them a modern twist.
What is your favourite part of your job?
The favourite part of my job is watching people’s reactions when they see our shop for the first time and even better, is when they take that first bite of a cake or pastry and seeing that big smile.

What really makes us unique is the willingness to create custom cakes and flavours for clients that are looking for something they can’t find anywhere else and how we accommodate dietary and allergy concerns.
What would you tell someone who is thinking about opening their own business?
My advice to anyone looking to open their own business is do your research, write a business plan, be honest with the assessment of your business, and plan for all scenarios, good and bad.
